Maxifoods imports a variety of shellfish, which arrives in-country via airplane under strict
hygiene guidelines to ensure the health and safety of the product. We carefully select our
suppliers based on the quality of their shellfish, all of which is flash frozen shortly after being
caught in order to preserve their freshness and rich flavors. Our oysters in particular are
imported by the number one oyster supplier in Europe. Our fresh and frozen shellfish collection
includes crab legs, crab meat, soft shell crab, lobster, lobster tails (cooked and raw)
frozen mussels, mussel meat, scallops, and more
At Maxifoods we use Glacier Vehicles - Refrigerated Vehicles with fridge temperatures of 2-5°C and freezers -18°C.
Depending on the quantity of the product, our company uses boxes of 6kg, 8kg, 12kg, and 20kg to store the products. Once the box size is selected, we store portions of the product in smaller bags.
